In short, Alex Kent found himself standing on a barren moon that was dusty, and entirely lifeless. This was very sad, but then he noticed that there were thousands, perhaps millions of these moons in the sky, all by themselves. He wished for this to be different, and beams of light began to stream from one to the other, connecting up the moons, bringing life, energy with them; and the moons, including his own, began to flower, transform into rich life, and all the people who had been sad on their lonely moons were joyous and delighted, no longer being alone, and being a part of a vibrant network filled with colour, ideas, opportunities, riches and treasures of extraordinary proportions ...
He said, "Then I realised the moons were websites, and to build a network of websites that would bring traffic, visitors, networking opportunities to every member of the network - and I knew how that would be done! I started work immediately ..."
And 18 months later, the first "SpaceNode" websites are available for beta testing; the company has been formed; and the vision has turned into actual reality!
I would like to make some general comments on visions for business success, and how that is different from brainstorming, or just having an idea.
A vision is an experience - it's not a flash in the pan, it takes you there, and there, there is time, and you see, hear and feel things that are as real as something that happens right here in the room.
- As such, visions are REMEMBERED in perfect clarity and they can be RE-VISITED any amount of times, and will always remain resonant and full of information, full of energy, full of data and also, full of emotion.
This is extremely important as over time - in this particular case, over a period of 18 months so far and continuing! - the vision provides a structure to which you can return again, and again, in order to keep in the right direction; to remember it is what you are doing when details and every day problems threaten to overwhelm; and any return to the vision is immensely MOTIVATIONAL, re-energizing, allowing a person to shake off lethargy or disappointment, setbacks or just simply daily stress as they re-connect with the excitement of the original vision that started it all.
Clearly, whenever Alex Kent in this case "tuned back in" to the moons beginning to flower and coming to life, the light beams bringing this charge of energy, information and opportunity he absolutely touched that original excitement; but the visions from the energy mind are even more than that.
There is DATA in these visions that goes beyond the pretty picture of the sky lighting up with that lightbeam network and the dust turning into gardens of Eden.
This data is specific; and the OWNER OF THE VISION, for whom the vision was created most specifically BY THEIR OWN ENERGY MIND, of course understands that data, and how it works in the context of their own work, plans and queries.
For example, Einstein who had the vision about the beams of light UNDERSTOOD exactly what that meant in terms of physics; and Alex Kent understood what the moons with their beams of light meant in the context of his work, which is network design and programming.
Likewise, and it really doesn't matter if you are a horse trainer, a shoe salesman, a psychologist or a Michelin star chef, YOUR VISION is going to be UNDERSTOOD in the YOUR OWN CONTEXT - because it is custom made for you, by you.
We listen to Alex Kent's vision and we see moons; he sees computers, servers, network paths, websites, code.
Visions are THE most amazing thing.
If you've never had one, you probably can't appreciate just how energizing and motivating a vision is. There are people out there who have worked flat out for decades because the vision INSPIRED THEM so very much, and they never ever had to worry about procrastination, about losing their path, or even about whether or not they would succeed in the end.
- Visions are remarkably undeniable, and the best part is that anyone at all with a functioning human brain can absolutely learn to have them.
It's God's gift to us people to be able to DO something like that with your mind.
It's extraordinary.
Visions are truly amazing - but what in my mind is so amazing beyond all else is that they are so PRACTICAL.
Visions, if done right and used right, produce REAL RESULTS - more money you can measure at the bottom line, new systems that are paradigm shifting, improvements in the way we deal with reality itself.
If you have a business and you need "new ideas" don't sit there with wrinkled brows and whiteboards.
